The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could help the party reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be where in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
